sailin in a storm

(Antara)
April, 2002
I can hear the tide racking
I can hear the wind screaming
I can't look ahead to find sun

Why does it come when I'm weakened
The signal is passing but it
Builds with a fight, it's begun.

I'm walking down the street and I have no compassion
I've lost all my patience and nothing can matter
there's trash in the garden and blood in the paper
the children are crying hate words they are flying
There’s no room for pity there’s no room for anger there's no time for talking
don't stop me I'm sailing in a storm.

I will not blame my mother
Cause who do you think taught her and taught her and taught her and taught
her and taught her and taught her
No this storm's not a baby
But it's crying for attention so loud so loud who taught her who taught
her who taught her who taught her
This wind that is blowing causes bruises and dents
though my vessel will suffer I'll never stop sailing
My cover is blown and I'm fully exposed the water is rising it's cold but
it's warming the tide it is turning the truth it is burning my stomach is
churning
The Mother is calling......Girl don't you stop sailing in a storm.
